MY BELIEFS

I believe God has always existed and will exist after the world's destruction. The scripture supports the existence of God, who had no beginning or ending and made the heavens, earth, and everything we see and cannot see. (Genesis 1:1)

I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. His equality is equal to God in every aspect. He lived a sinless human life when He took on human flesh, dying for the sins of humanity on an old rugged cross. He didn't stay dead but got up with all power in heaven, on the earth, and underneath the earth. Someday He will return to reign as the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. (Matthew 1:22-23John 1:1-5)

I believe the Holy Spirit comprises three persons, which constitute the Trinity. The Holy Spirit is resident in one who believes and confesses the biblical account of Jesus Christ going to the cross for our sins. The Holy Spirit is equal to God the Father and Jesus Christ, God's son. The Holy Spirit helps us to be aware of the need for Jesus Christ. I believe the Holy Spirit provides the Christian with the power to live in a sinful world, understand spiritual truth, and provide the necessary guidance to abide in the word of God. The Holy Spirit gives the Christian gifts to bless the church.  (John 16:7-13Acts 1:8)

I believe the Bible is God's word, written by men whom the Holy Spirit guided. The Bible is the truth for the Christian believer. It's believed that the Bible is without error. (2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20-21)

I believe humanity was/is created in the image of God. The Trinity consists of God the Father, Jesus Christ the Son, and the Holy Spirit. We, too, are mind, body, and soul. In our originality, we were without sin before the fall in the Garden of Eden when the first man ate from the Tree of Good and Evil. Thus, all of us are marred by sin. Sin separates us from God, so Jesus had to come bodily to reconcile us back to God.  (Genesis 1:27Isaiah 53:6Isaiah 59:1-2)

I believe God's gift of Salvation is free in one's confession of Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Believing that He died on the cross for our sins and, on the third day, which was Sunday, got up with all power. When we trust Jesus Christ, God offers forgiveness of sin; one is saved of their sins.  (Romans 6:23Ephesians 2:8-9Galatians 3:26)

I believe baptism is our outward belief that we have accepted Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. We're conveying publicly that we will live for Him from that day forth.  (Acts 2:381 Peter 3:19-22)

I believe that we were created to live forever. I believe those who have accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior will live with Him in heaven after this earthly life is over. Those who reject Jesus Christ will spend eternity in Hell. To be eternal with Jesus Christ is eternal life. I believe that Heaven and Hell are literal places of eternal existence. (John 3:16Revelation 20:151 Corinthians 2:7-9
